Lily's 4th Birthday Party

Finally a Post?  Right?  Wrong!

Okay - so, I did a post for Lily's Birthday Party, but it is on my Sweet Blog.  So take a sneak peak at her Birthday Party post and I will be back here with family pictures and new as soon as I have the energy to sit and sift through the photos to put up here.  I want to do it, I really do, but, life is busy and fast.

Love to you my family!

Quick update

Lilypad did great through the surgery.  Now, it is time for her to mend.  Thank you for your thoughts and prayers.

Surgery indeed!

Well, it looks like our little Lilypad will be needing her tonsils and adenoids removed.  This is a good thing.  I am not looking forward to her having surgery or the recovery, I hate to have her in pain or any discomfort, but I know that this will help her in the long run.  Lily has HUGE tonsils, they are pretty much always big, but when she gets a cold or sick, they touch each other (ick - look up kissing tonsils and you can see a rather gross picture.)  Her's aren't quite that bad, but pretty close.  For now, I am just reading through the mountain of paperwork they gave me. It turns out I can read and digest information better when my kids are not in the room and screaming at me.  Ah, my little angels.  :)

Anyways, here is a recent 'photo shoot' of the wee one.  She was being super silly the other day and I got a handful of shots of her 'posing' for the camera.

... and there you have it.  Lilypad at her finest, hamming it up for my iphone.

Prayers for her to remain healthy before the surgery, a successful surgery and recovery would be greatly appreciated.  Her surgery is scheduled for 2/20212.

1st Time Library Card Holders

Noah and Lily are official Library card holders! This was a very exciting and fun trip for us. We hadn't been to the Library in close to two years. (Yes, I know, I am horrible to the environment and we buy our books, we'll try and get better.) The last time the three of us went to the Library we had this really long drawn out discussion about how we need to be very quiet and use whispers in a Library. So, we got to the Library and they were definitely quiet, but they ran around like they had just gotten out of a cage. They were running and jumping on furniture, going totally wild. I was mortified and left immediately and had been too shell shocked to come back.

This time was different. Lily had been asking to go to the Library for over a week or so, we had the opportunity, so we went. This time we talked about behavior as well as whispers. They were awesome.

We have arrived!

I told them to get their crazies out before we went in. Lily needs to pull her pants up. Silly Lily.

All right, now for a pose in front of the Library.

We went to the bigger Library. The Library had two playrooms. The line was long to get cards and I had to fill out 3 forms (one each), so we went to the first playroom.

Noah colored while Lily looked at books and out the window.

Once I filled out all of the paperwork, we got our cards. Noah and Lily signed both of theirs all by themselves.

Here they are, their Library cards.
Yay!

Then, we went to a different playroom. They spent a lot of time in here.

Noah loved this recycle truck. We used to have one; he rarely played with it, so we gave it away. Then he sees one and plays with it! Go figure. Lily is my puzzle girl! I look forward to doing puzzles with her when we are on vacation and holidays together when I am all old and gray. :)

I finally dragged them out of the playroom to go get some books. We looked at a few -- by now we had been there nearly two hours. I read them each a book, then they picked some for themselves.

Lily picked 4 and Noah picked 3. They are both pretty excited. Noah chose one that he wants to try to read on his own. It is a "#1" book. I think he needs more practice with his Bob books, but I love his enthusiasm. Lily has loved books from the beginning and she'd sleep with at least 6 a night if I let her.

Now, it is time to check out. We all used our own cards to check out!

Now, it is my job to be sure there is only one special place we keep Library books in the house. We have bookshelves in practically every room in the house, so we need a good spot so that I don't go mad looking for them when it is time to return them.

So, there you have it. Our very first ever (official) trip to the Library.

Now, let's go READ!

Once again... it's been too long.

Happy 2012!

My apologies for taking forever to getting back to this blog. I know many of my family members do not FaceBook, so you don't actually get up-to-date footage on my munchkins. (Or us.) Of course a lot happens in a half of year.

First of all, we are all good, healthy, happy and having fun. LOTS of fun! Both kids still take gymnastics and love it. We love having our LegoLand Passes, so we renewed, Sea World had a special, buy a day get the rest of the year free, so we used the heck out of it in 2011.

June: We LOVE LegoLand. Father's Day Pirates, Open House at School, it is great because we get to see all of the work the kids have done for the year. Since Lily only went one month, she showed us how to do some of her 'work.' On the Last Day of School I always make a giant cookie, the size of their heads! Lily eats quite a bit of hers and Noah nibbles a bit of his. They always forget about them the next day, but they sure are fun when they are waiting for them when they get home.
July: Baby Party (Lily was insisting on having a Baby Party - not sure what that was, but I threw her a mini party with 3 of her little friends and they brought their babies.) Sea World, Zoo's and swimming.
August: Sea World, Blizzard Company Picnic, Lego Land, Sea World (yes, again), Professional Photos (Please don't use these for anything other than personal use.)
September: Gramma & PaPa visit and we go to Nevada, HAIL!, 1st Day of School.  Nevada you may ask?  Well, I have a Bucket list and one of the things on that bucket list is to visit every State as a family.  We want to do fun stuff, educational stuff, visit people, take different means of transportation. It is very exciting to think of and plan.
October: Noah's 5th Birthday party was a Space Rocket theme, Open House at the local Fire Department, Halloween Costumes, Air Bag War Wounds 10/16/11.
December: Lego Land, Santa, my little singers, Sea World.  (In between we all got that nasty stomach flu, we are all good now though.)
January: Fruit Kabobs, Noah's New Room (We started this in October, but never got to completing it until 1/17/12), Gifts from Santa.  I started making Homemade granola, oh my gosh is it good.  I am convinced EVERYthing tastes better homemade.

If you are wondering why November is not there, it is because I didn't take any photos. I think Halloween was the only time I took a couple of photos after the accident and it hurt to take them, so I didn't get back to snapping the kiddo's until December. It has been a long recovery.

So, here are the pictures. You'll see my kids grow 6 months in a matter of minutes. Don't forget, you click on the top one and it will bring you to a group of photos. :)

December 2010

As I write this at the end of January, I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas!

December is always a fun filled month. We have Birthday parties, Christmas parties, School and Church kids singing thingies, family in town, Christmas, New Years Eve and two weeks off of school!

During most of the Christmas break it rained here, so we mostly did crafts. Not much interesting in the last two weeks of December, but the first two weeks were FUN-FILLED!

Here are some of the highlights!

Enjoy!
